Saturday Night Live mocks Donald Trump for having 'gay dementia' and 'making odd noises'... as Tom Hanks makes surprise appearance

Saturday Night Live mocked Donald Trump with a joke about “gay dementia” as Tom Hanks returned as David Pumpkins for the show’s Halloween episode.

James Austin Johnson again portrayed the president, interrupting the fan-favorite sketch shortly after Hanks appeared alongside returning cast members Bobby Moynihan and Mikey Day.

When David Pumpkins was asked why he had returned, Johnson’s Trump burst in and shouted: “Midterms! Boo!”

“It’s me, Donald Trump, your one true god, pausing an SNL skit yet again,” he joked before poking fun at the revival of the Pumpkins sketch.

“You know, I actually have a lot in common with Mr. Pumpkins: We both appeared in 2016, we’re both very loud, very orange and, frankly, very annoying!”

Johnson then turned to Trump’s recent campaign-trail behavior, including his repeated comments about the physiques of Republican candidates.

“That’s something I’ve been doing lately, admiring men’s a**es. Not that there’s anything wrong with it—just that I might be gay.”

“They’re calling it gay dementia. Dementia, short for ‘the men should show me their butts,’” he joked in character.

The sketch also poked fun at Trump’s habit of making unusual sounds during speeches.

“Remember that? What the hell was that? Probably the soul trying to leave the body,” Johnson said, adding that the noises were acceptable “if you were cool with the Epstein stuff.”

The Trump character then complained about the midterm polling before making a joke about bruises on Trump’s hands.

“They’re saying Texas is turning purple, just like my hand. If it goes blue, then just like my hand, I will leave it for dead.”

The segment ended with parodies involving Nicki Minaj—who recently appeared as a Trump campaign surrogate and has been floated by some as a possible White House press secretary—as well as former Press Secretary Katie Zacharia.

The Trump character said he had also admired Minaj’s backside before adding: “She’s got quite an a**, if only it were on a man, perhaps then I could admire it.”

As he departed, Johnson’s Trump urged viewers to vote Republican, warning that Democrats would otherwise do “absolutely nothing, just like the last time.”

Trump has raised eyebrows with a number of suggestive remarks about Republican candidates and their physiques in recent weeks, including complimenting Ohio Senator Jon Husted for his 'great a**' at two campaign events

Trump has recently made a series of suggestive comments about Republican candidates, including complimenting Ohio Senator Jon Husted on his “great a**” at two campaign events

Trump initially launched into an unusual description of Ohio Senator Jon Husted’s body, saying he had been “studying” the lawmaker’s behind.

During a rally in Ohio last week, Trump said he was struck by the physique of Husted, a former college football player.

“I’m standing over here, and I don’t do this with men very often… I started examining his body because I didn’t know he was a great athlete,” Trump said.

“And I looked, and I watched up and down. I looked at his a** and I looked at the whole, and then I looked at his hands. Look at his hands. He’s got these, like, claws. And I got it. You are a great athlete.”

Trump returned to the subject days later during a speech in North Carolina, again discussing Husted’s appearance.

He told the crowd that he had been “studying his body” and described it as being “like a piece of steel.”

“I looked at his a**, and then I looked at his legs. I said, ‘His a**, sh*t, it’s like, it’s like a pile of muscle,’” Trump said. “I tapped him on the shoulder, and it actually hurt my hand. He’s like a piece of steel. I said, ‘This guy’s a monster!’”

Although Trump told the audience that complimenting other men was “not my thing,” he has repeatedly commented on men’s appearances during the campaign.

'By the way, I looked at one hell of a beautiful a** before: Nicki Minaj. That's hard to miss. Stand up. That's hard to miss,' Trump said at a Michigan rally with Minaj in attendance

'Well, maybe I should be upset he didn't talk about my asset,' Republican Senator Ashley Moody said of Trump at his Friday rally in Florida

“Well, maybe I should be upset he didn’t talk about my asset,” Republican Senator Ashley Moody said during Trump’s Friday rally in Florida

He called Georgia Republican gubernatorial candidate Rick Jackson a “very handsome, distinguished, beautiful-looking guy.”

Trump also described Republican Senator Tim Sheehy as a “handsome guy,” Kentucky Republican congressional nominee Ed Gallrein as “beautiful” and Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker as a “good-looking sucker.”

He later offered a similar compliment to Minaj.

“By the way, I looked at one hell of a beautiful a** before: Nicki Minaj. That’s hard to miss. Stand up. That’s hard to miss,” Trump said at a Michigan rally where Minaj was present.

Minaj stood, waved to the crowd and appeared to go along with the president’s remarks about her rear end.

The comments even prompted Republican Senator Ashley Moody of Florida to question why Trump had not praised her “asset” in the same way.

Speaking Friday night at Trump’s rally in Daytona Beach, Moody described the questions she had received about the president’s comments on Minaj’s “beautiful a**.”

“What do you think about the president talking about Nicki Minaj’s asset? Really? I mean, Byron and I don’t even know what to say,” Moody told the crowd, referring to Republican gubernatorial candidate Congressman Byron Donalds, who also attended the event.

“Byron’s probably like, ‘I’m just glad he didn’t ask about my asset.’ I mean, we were the only two on the stage with the president.”

She added: “Well, maybe I should be upset he didn’t talk about my asset.”

The remarks have fueled online controversy, while Democratic lawmakers have criticized the president’s comments as inappropriate for someone holding the office.

Throughout the midterm campaign, Trump has largely visited Republican strongholds while avoiding battleground areas with fewer supporters of the MAGA movement.

Trump spent much of Saturday morning at his golf club near his Florida home before taking part in five scheduled tele-rallies.

On Sunday, he is expected to travel to Iowa and Kansas for what could be his final in-person rallies of the campaign.

Trump is also scheduled to hold tele-rallies on Monday and Election Day, when he is expected to remain in Washington.
