Craig Conover reveals he's 'ready to find love' again after Paige DeSorbo split

Craig Conover says he is ready to look for love again, just three months after ending his relationship with Paige DeSorbo.

The Southern Charm star and Summer House personality dated for three years before announcing their unexpected split in December.

Although the breakup, which took place over Thanksgiving weekend in November 2024, was initially described as mutual, Craig, 36, later said he had been “blindsided.”

Both stars have since faced allegations of infidelity. Paige, 32, has strongly denied cheating and claimed Craig was the one texting “two b****es” during the season nine premiere of Summer House.

In a forthcoming episode of the Tamron Hall show, scheduled to air February 17, Craig appears to address the claims directly, denying that he had inappropriate conversations with other women.

DailyMail.com spoke with Craig before his hosting appearance at Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on February 14. He acknowledged receiving messages from other people, but said they were “Valentine’s Day requests.”

“I’ve gotten so many incredible messages from people. They’ve watched me for 12 years now, and they’ve related to my journey throughout, as I’ve tried to become better over the years,” Craig said.

“Whether it’s through breakups or drinking or whatever it used to be, I get the nicest messages from people who say, ‘We enjoy seeing you go through the same stuff that regular people do,’ because I am just like a regular person.”

“So yes, I’ve had a lot of requests and a lot of Valentine’s Day requests, but I’m going to make everyone at HQ my Valentine tonight.”

The founder of Sewing Down South hosted the evening at HQ2 Nightclub, where he partied with friends and family and posed for photos with female fans.

Asked whether he was ready to find love again, Craig told DailyMail.com, “I think I’m always ready to find love. I’m a big fan of sharing your life with someone, and right now, I’m just excited to find someone to travel with.”

“A lot of my life is on the road, so yeah, we’ll see. We’ll see what happens.”

He added, “But I think life’s not worth living if it’s not shared. I like sharing my life with people, so whether it’s love from friends or my parents, I’ve always got love to give, and of course, one day I will be ready to receive it.”

Reflecting on his relationship with Paige, Craig said he had “gotten a lot of love over the last few years,” but that “it just changed” and he was now moving “on to the next chapter.”

“I don’t know what the universe has in store for me. But yeah, I’m open to dating anyone from any background or profession.”

Craig said his relationship with Paige had been exciting, but was never something they deliberately planned. The pair initially connected after working together on a cameo for Summer House in 2019.

He has not ruled out using a dating app, which he believes can help rebuild confidence and provide validation. Still, Craig said he would prefer to meet someone naturally in everyday life, even if making that first move can be “nerve-wracking.”

“I think the best way is to challenge yourself to do something, whether it’s a fitness competition, a race or something you have to train for,” he explained.

“For me, that’s probably what it would be. Maybe you meet someone while you’re training, or maybe I’ll join a bowling league or something.”

“I have no idea what tomorrow looks like, so I’m just trying to stay excited.”

Paige, who lives in New York City, has said the breakup happened because the pair were moving in different directions and “growing and changing” as individuals.

The former couple also acknowledged the difficulties of maintaining a long-distance relationship. Craig lives in Charleston, South Carolina, although both made the effort to travel to see each other.

Craig told DailyMail.com that he would consider another long-distance relationship, provided there was “effort and compromise.”

“I’m not going to lie. I really enjoyed long distance. I think living in two different places was so exciting, and getting to share those places with each other,” he said.

“I feel drawn to that, especially because there are a lot of incredible people in Charleston, but I have a lot of history there too, a lot of past chapters. So I’m a fan of long-distance relationships, and I think it comes down to effort and compromise. Put the effort in, and if you do, it’ll all work out okay.”

He also said he wants a future partner to prioritize “healthy communication,” adding that he does not want to feel stressed or insecure about staying in touch.

“I know there are always going to be games and flirtiness, but at the age I am now, if I’m talking to someone, I want healthy communication. If I text you, text me back, but I’ll also understand that you can’t always be on your phone,” he said.

In a midseason trailer for Southern Charm, Craig revealed that he had bought Paige an engagement ring before their breakup.

During an episode that aired last month, he discussed the possibility of proposing while on a fishing trip with his friend Shep Rose.

“If it was up to me, we would just be engaged, but she changes her mind a lot about stuff,” Craig said before giving an example.

“One day she’ll text me and say, ‘Let’s build a f***ing farmhouse in the middle of nowhere,’” he recalled, adding that she had also said, “I’m moving to Charleston.”

“But then she’ll have a good day in New York and be like, ‘I love it up here.’”

Craig said her shifting views could be “confusing,” although he acknowledged, “I think that’s life, right? It’s a bunch of decisions and compromise.”

Earlier this season, the entrepreneur also said Paige wanted to wait a few years before having children. He described that as “not a big deal” and revealed that he had frozen his sperm.

Craig told DailyMail.com that he considers two years a good length of time for an engagement. When it comes to having children, he said the decision ultimately “comes down to the girl.”

“I know things get skewed on television sometimes, but for me, it’s about knowing if, not when. If my partner wants to have kids with me, then that’s great.”

“I don’t care when we have kids. It’s not so much the timeline; it’s whether or not we’re going to break up. It’s about having security in a relationship. If you have that security, those timelines can serve a healthy purpose instead of an unhealthy one,” he explained.

For now, Craig is concentrating on his family and making them a priority. He spent his birthday, February 9, with relatives in Delaware and enjoyed time with his brother and sister-in-law in Atlantic City.

In addition to hosting at Ocean Casino Resort’s HQ2 Nightclub, Craig tried his luck at craps, blackjack and roulette before dining at Villain and Saint.

After returning to Charleston, the reality star has several projects underway, including a cookbook and a crafting company.

“I’m starting a crafting company, which is going to be really great. I’ll learn how to make different crafts with people while traveling around the country, speaking at home shows and business schools,” he told DailyMail.com.

“We’ve got a lot on the calendar, which has been really fun, along with doing a little bit of acting. I just try to fit as much stuff in as I can.”

Ending on an upbeat note, Craig said, “I just want to remind everyone to be kind to themselves and not put too much pressure on themselves.”

“Don’t beat yourselves up. We’re all doing this for the first time, we’re trying our hardest, and it really does all work out in the end.”
