Elsa Hosk Goes Casual With Daughters After Victoria’s Secret Backlash

Elsa Hosk enjoyed a family walk in Los Angeles on Sunday, just one week after making her much-discussed return to the Victoria’s Secret runway.

The 37-year-old Swedish model traded runway glamour for an oversized striped T-shirt and blue jeans as she strolled with her daughters, three-month-old Flora Blue and five-year-old Tuulikki, alongside her mother.

Hosk welcomed Flora Blue with her fiancé Tom Daly in July before returning to the Victoria’s Secret catwalk less than three months later.

She wore her blonde hair loose and protected her eyes from the California sunshine with oversized black sunglasses.

The relaxed outing followed a public defense from fellow model Gigi Hadid, who spoke out after fans claimed Hosk appeared to struggle beneath the weight of her wings during her runway appearance.

Hosk modeled two eye-catching looks during the show and was given the runway’s largest wings, which measured an imposing 70 inches. 

In a Threads post that has since been deleted, Hadid strongly defended Hosk on Wednesday after a viewer compared her runway walk with Gisele Bündchen’s.

‘This really [pissing me off],’ Hadid wrote. ‘Elsa slayed this.’

Hadid added that she was the ‘biggest fan’ of the ‘OG Angels,’ including Bündchen, who made her final Victoria’s Secret appearance in 2006. However, she said the ‘scale and size’ of this year’s production could not be compared with the brand’s earlier shows.

‘It’s a looong walk in the wings these days ++ they can be 75-plus lbs. 10-plus feet tall, sometimes animatronic,’ she said.

‘The wings are getting bigger bc the viewers love it & they’re MAJOR but NOT aerodynamic, then add the gust of runway fans!! It takes 3 men to take these wings off of us.’

‘Elsa is stunning, strong, & carried these like a boss. Y’all have no clue.’

Hadid was responding to a post that asked, ‘Imagine Giselle [sic] walking down the runway like this?’

The comment referred to Hosk’s second look of the evening: a sheer bodysuit styled with enormous shimmering wings and stiletto heels.

Hosk had already addressed the backlash in an Instagram Stories post following the show.

‘Also for the people on the internet talking about my walk, it took THREE men to carry these wings and put them on my back. Let that sink in.’

Her remarks came after several social media users criticized her performance, with one asking, ‘What is this walk?’

Another accused the model of ‘stomping’ along the runway. 

Others defended the models and questioned the size of the accessories. One fan wrote, ‘This was cool but the wings are getting more & more ridiculous. I feel bad for some of the girls who can barely walk with them on.’ 

Another commented, ‘She can walk. These wings are HEAVYYYY and babygirl is FRESHLY postpartum. She’s doing her best.’ 

The appearance marked Hosk’s first Victoria’s Secret show since 2018.

Hosk announced the arrival of her second daughter in July with a celebratory Instagram post.

Sharing a carousel of newborn photographs, she wrote: ‘Our flower fairy girl, Flora Blue. She’s finally here, born in the garden, under the moon, the stars and our magical flowering tree✨.’

She became engaged to her longtime partner after Daly proposed in a Swedish wildflower garden in September 2025.

She captioned a video: ‘I said yessss in a Swedish wildflower garden, in our new apartment in the city we met 10 years in – you and me baby @tomtomdaly.’

In the accompanying images, Hosk displayed an oval-cut diamond while wearing a red shirt and burgundy skirt.

One photograph showed Daly on one knee among flickering candles as Hosk covered her face in apparent shock and delight.

Another image captured him opening a Tiffany’s box to reveal the dazzling engagement ring.
